Dining out in Madison, Wisconsin on Thanksgiving Day 2014: Free meals and restaurant deals

No matter what your reason may be, there are alternatives to cooking your own Thanksgiving Dinner. To help you find them, Quintessential Madison has compiled a list of Madison-area organizations and restaurants serving dinner this year on Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 27, 2014. You’ll find a range of options — from FREE to more than $40 per person.

This list has been published for five years by Madison on the Cheap, but we’ve put that site on hiatus and are moving relevant content to this new website.

Please note: We work very diligently to make this list accurate, but things change. It’s always advisable to call ahead to confirm details.

The free dinners are open to all, but each sponsoring organization we contacted stresses the importance of volunteers and donations. Cash donations are especially appreciated. So too are volunteers who are willing to help with clean-up tasks. Please consider contributing time and/or money if you are in a position to do so this Thanksgiving.
